This thread seems to be old but I had the same problem today with Amazon Prime not working on my Roku streaming device. I'd select "Prime Video", hit "ok" and the Prime Video logo would briefly show but the display would go back to the previous channel selection page as others have described here. Go to the Roku home screen and select the Amazon Prime Video channel. Select the star button on the remote to access the channel menu. Select Remove Channel and confirm your choice. Then just add the channel again as above.
